Since she got her hands on her first camera Laura has been making films  and becoming one with her artistic nature. After being told she could not use film as a medium in her A-Levels, she persisted with a risk of being failed, but instead went on to be written a personal letter from the adjudicator congratulating her bravery and unique perspective. This lead on to an unconditional offer to study Film and TV production at Edge Hill University in 2015.

At university she had her official directorial debut, a short documentary entitled ‘Pegs’, which was nominated in RTS North Wests ‘Best Short Feature’ category. The success of this film was followed by a 30-minute TV episode which was awarded The Paul Cannon Memorial Award by her university. Laura's graduating short film ‘Caught Cold’ was selected to premiere at the Paladino d’Oro Sport Film Festival in 2018. Laura left university with a first-class degree and a knowledge that directing was in her future.

After university, Laura went on to work as a commercial camera operator and director, working on projects for brands such as Hyundai, Swiss Tourisme and Land Rover and she was given the opportunity to work across many countries such as Germany, Croatia, France, Scotland, Italy, Belgium, Monaco, and Switzerland.

Looking to move from commercial into narrative film and TV, Laura has been spending her most recent years on larger scale productions for such companies as HBO, Netflix and Warner Brothers as part of the Locations department.  During those productions Laura has been scouting and managing locations, working closely with the producers and directors as a part of this. Working on these productions has allowed Laura to learn from some of the best filmmakers working in the industry right now and has given her active on-set experience to apply to her own work.

Laura takes the time to write and develop personal projects, currently working on 3 feature films, a TV series and 2 shorts, she plans to continue her journey as a director and hopes to being pre-production on her debut short narrative film very soon. Having been actively working in film, television and commercials for over 10 years now, she has covered a broad range of roles as a camera operator, director, drone operator, writer, editor and location manager. This breadth and depth of knowledge of the industry is what allows Laura to continue to succeed creatively as well as technically.
